A former south Grand Forks restaurant is being refurbished as a strip mall, according to the building's owner.

Tim Christian bought the Golden Corral building at 3251 32nd Ave. S. in November after the business closed earlier last year. He is adding 2,600 square feet to the rebuilt structure and dividing into four or five spaces for restaurants or shops.

Christian said he does not have any tenants for the mall yet. He plans to have construction finished by October.
