Overland flooding has closed parts of two Grand Forks County roads.

County Road 11 closed Monday and County Road 5 closed Tuesday night, said County Engineer Nick West. Both closures are a few miles southwest of Manvel.

"The Turtle River started flowing into the Red River yesterday; that's what is over both those roads," West said.

The next county road that West said he is worried about is County Road 18 between Interstate 29 and the Red River.

"Countless township roads are closed," West said.

Township roads are the responsibility of the township, so the county does not keep track of those closures on its road closure map.
