Grand Forks firefighters quickly doused a fire in a third-floor apartment Wednesday evening in a building at 710 Fourth Ave. S. near downtown and Cherry Street.
The call came in at 6:41 p.m. and firefighters found "moderate smoke," in the hallway and a fire in the apartment. Nobody was injured and the damage was limited to the one apartment. All but the occupant of that apartment were soon back in their homes. The cause of the fire still was being investigated.
