Fire at Nordic Fiberglass plant in Warren, Minn., evacuates residents

A fire that broke out about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Nordic Fiberglass building in Warren, Minn., has prompted the Marshall County Sheriff's Department to issue an evacuation notice to residents in the surrounding area.

A fire that broke out about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Nordic Fiberglass building in Warren, Minn., has prompted the Marshall County Sheriff's Department to issue an evacuation notice to residents in the surrounding area.

The department's Facebook page issued a statement shortly after 9 p.m. saying the fire was still burning and telling those evacuated to find alternate housing for the night. A dispatcher with the sheriff's office confirmed residents within a one-block radius of the Nordic Fiberglass building, which is located at 21415 U.S. Highway 75 NW, have been displaced.

The fire's cause and full extent of the damage are not yet known.
