BEMIDJI - The cause of the Tuesday afternoon fire that destroyed a home on the 24000 block of 470th Street in Helga Township remains under investigation.
No foul play is suspected.
According to a press release from Bemidji Fire Chief Dave Hoefer:
The fire was reported at 4:02 p.m. and the 1.5-story home was found to be fully engulfed upon Fire Department arrival.
Bemidji firefighters were able to contain the fire so it did not spread to neighboring building, but the home and its contents are considered a total loss.

No one was injured.
The Fire Department had two fire engines on scene and supplied water with three tankers. Firefighters remained on scene about five hours.
The fire was reported by the occupant of the home.
Investigating the fire are the Bemidji Fire Department and Minnesota State Fire Marshall's Office.
Assisting at the scene were the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office, Bemidji Ambulance Service, Beltrami Electric Coop and the Minnesota State Fire Marshall's Office.
