Starting Friday, drivers caught speeding through work zones in Minnesota will feel a bigger dent in their wallets.
Effective Aug. 1, fines for speeding in construction zones will rise to $300.
Motorists disregarding flaggers’ instructions also can be fine $300.
The increase comes as part of a new law passed during the 2014 state legislative session.
