UND 38, Nebraska-Omaha 35
OMAHA, Neb. Brandon Hellevang's 26-yard field goal with 2:45 to play carried UND to a 38-35 win against Nebraska-Omaha on Saturday in the second round of the NCAA Division II football playoffs.
UND improved to 11-1 and will play defending national champion Grand Valley State of Michigan in the quarterfinal round.
Reed Manke completed 22 of 31 passes for 260 yards and three touchdowns. Weston Dressler caught seven passes for 125 yards and a touchdown.
Nebraska-Omaha quarterback Zach Miller scored four touchdowns and the Mavericks rushed for 319 yards.

The big break came when UND's Rory Manke intercepted a Miller pass. His 17-yard return gave the Sioux a first down at their 49. The Sioux then drove for the winning field goal and held Omaha on downs on the Mavericks' next possession.
Omaha, which beat UND 21-20 earlier this season, closed out at 8-3.
For UND, it was its first win in Omaha since 1995.
