BATTLE LAKE, Minn. -- Authorities have identified the driver of a FedEx truck who was killed Friday in an accident near this Otter Tail County town.

Jeffrey Wayne Hanson, 37, of Fargo, was ejected from the truck after it left County Highway 81 and struck an approach shortly before noon, according to a release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office.

Hanson was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Battle Lake Police, Fire and Rescue assisted the sheriff's office at the scene.
