FARGO - The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce is losing most of its syllables, streamlining to "The Chamber." The new name was announced this morning.
Chamber president and chief executive Craig Whitney said the group will keep the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo name when dealing with out-of-state organizations to retain its regional identity. He called the move the result of a months-long strategic planning process, "a logical step in our evolution."
The chamber also unveiled a new logo Wednesday: three interlocking rings that evoke a series of conjoined C's, in reference to the three chambers - Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo - that merged to form the current organization.
The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead and the Herald are both Forum Communications Co. newspapers.
