FARGO

An 86-year-old Fargo man was injured after he was hit by a small pickup truck in downtown Fargo on Friday.

Fargo police say Louis Larson was crossing the street in front of the Sons of Norway on the 700 block of Second Avenue North around 11:30 a.m. Friday when he was hit by the front corner of a small pickup heading east on Second Avenue.

The driver of the truck, Kenneth Klein, 70, of Fargo, was on his way to a meeting, also on Second Avenue, and did not stop at the accident. Larson told police he didn't realize he had hit anyone.

Larson was cited for reckless driving, failing to stop at an accident and failing to render aid at an accident.
