MOORHEAD – A Fargo man is expected to face charges in Cass and Clay counties after leading police on a slow-speed pursuit early Wednesday.
According to Moorhead Police Lt. Tory Jacobson:
The incident began shortly after midnight when a Moorhead police officer came upon a car stopped in a driving lane of Eighth Street near the Moorhead Dairy Queen at Eighth Street and Main Avenue.
After talking to the man, identified as Wayne Anderson, 65, the officer determined Anderson did not have a driver’s license. The officer told Anderson the car would have to be impounded and offered him the use of a telephone to call someone for a ride.
Instead, Anderson got back into the car and drove away at low speed.

Anderson eventually pulled over into a parking lot in Fargo, where he initially refused to leave the vehicle when ordered to by Fargo police, according to Jacobson, who said Anderson will likely face charges in Cass County of resisting arrest and charges in Clay County of fleeing in a motor vehicle and impeding traffic.
