FARGO - A Fargo man is accused of forcing open the door to an apartment and making threats while holding a knife during a burglary Monday night.

Police responded at 11:44 p.m. to the 700 block of 10th Street North and found the suspect standing outside the apartment, Sgt. Mark Lykken said.

The alleged victim, who is acquainted with the suspect, told police the suspect came to his apartment thinking the victim had stolen items from him.

The suspect allegedly kicked in the door frame, forced open the door and entered the apartment holding a knife, making threats about getting his property back. The victim retreated to the kitchen, got a knife and called police, at which point the suspect left on his own, Lykken said.

Ryan Cody Guy, 31, of Fargo, was arrested on suspicion of burglary and criminal mischief for allegedly trying to kick out a window of the police car that took him to the Cass County Jail, Lykken said.
