FARGO - The father of an 8-month-old baby found the child left outside of his home at the Riviera Heights Mobile Home Park in Fargo on Saturday morning.
WDAY reported that the baby's father discovered the child, who was left in an infant seat in an unheated space in the entryway of the mobile home.
Fargo police are investigating the baby's mother for leaving the child. The temperature at the time was below zero.
Sgt. Mark Lykken said the mother rang the doorbell and left, WDAY reported.
The father told police he thought he heard "something," but didn't go to the door until 15 minutes later.

The child is believed to be OK after the incident.
