MOORHEAD - A 22-year-old driver from Fargo was cited for inattentive driving after he rolled his vehicle Wednesday on Interstate 94 in Moorhead, the Minnesota State Patrol said.
Adan Sugal was westbound on I-94 between 20th Street and the Moorhead rest area when his vehicle vaulted off the road into the median, rolled and ended up partially in the eastbound lanes of traffic, patrol Sgt. Jesse Grabow said.
Sugal was alone in the vehicle and sustained minor injuries. He was transported from the scene by ambulance.
Sugal also was cited for no proof of insurance.
Grabow noted that each year in Minnesota, distracted or inattentive driving is a factor in one in four crashes, resulting in at least 70 deaths and 350 serious injuries.
