One of the most famous steam locomotives in the world, the Southern Pacific Daylight No. 4449, will be coming through Grand Forks Wednesday morning after an overnight stay in Dilworth, Minn., where it's scheduled to depart at 8 a.m. The train is follow-ing the Empire Builder route, which means it should be near Grand Forks between 9 and 9:30 a.m.

The engine will be pulling several restored vintage luxury passenger cars dating back to the 1900s, dome cars with 360-degree views and Pullman sleepers. The 4449 is 110 feet long and 16 feet tall.
