Robert Nordvall, national field coordinator for the East European Mission Network, will be the speaker at a mission conference Sunday through Tuesday in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 2075 U.S. Highway 59 S.E. CORE to meet in Moorhead
MOORHEAD -- Lutheran Coalition for Renewal of Northwest Minnesota will hold an informational meeting from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. today in the Courtyard Marriot, 1080 28th Ave. S. It's part of a movement within the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America that plans to form a new denomination that will hold traditional views on the Bible's teaching on marriage and sexuality.

GF church to hold simulcast video
GRAND FORKS -- Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church, 1616 17th St. S., will offer two simulcast video ministries in coming months.
The church also is holding a "Focus on Marriage" simulcast, featuring Gary Thomas and Gary Chapman and actors Kirk and Chelsea Cameron, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today.
Also next month, famed Bible teacher Beth Moore will speak on "So Long, Insecurity," which will be held from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 24 in the church.

Church to host 'Healing Attitudes'
GRAND FORKS -- In a series called "Healing Attitudes," the Rev. Gretchen Graf will lead discussions on "the strong connection between the attitude we bring to living and our physical and emotional wellness," according to a news release from First Presbyterian Church, 5555 S. Washington St.
"We will explore how positive attitudes can promote our physical health and our overall happiness using a variety of resources from many faith traditions, and more," Graf said.
The series will run from 4 to 5 p.m. Sundays through March 28 in the church. It's free and open to anyone.

Church to host Oregon preacher/healer
GRAND FORKS -- Evangelist Wes Daughenbaugh will speak Sunday through Wednesday in Valley Christian Center, 3920 Cherry St. From Creswell, Ore., he travels the nation and into other countries as an evangelist and says he is anointed by God to heal people from ills by laying his hands on them. He will speak at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Everyone is welcome; it's free.

Burned chapel backers set Circle of Prayer
LEONARD, MINN. -- Supporters of the fire-damaged Faith Bible Chapel of Clover, near Leonard, Minn., northwest of Bemidji, are calling for a "Circle of Prayer" of people to join at the chapel at 2 p.m. March 6. It was burned Jan. 4 and needs to be replaced with a new building. "So we ask that you join us for a time of prayer of wisdom and guidance around the chapel before the demolition begins," Delores Torgeson said. It's at 53299 269th Ave., rural Leonard.
