Crookston church to hold bake sale
St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1214 University Ave., Crookston, will hold its annual "Homemade for the Holidays" bake sale and luncheon 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 23.
Homemade soups, sandwiches and pies as well as doughnuts and lefse will be offered.

GF church to host fall festival

The University Lutheran Church's Women's Group will host its annual Fall Festival 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 23 at 2122 University Ave., Grand Forks.
The festival will include a baked potato meal for $6, quilt sale and raffle, lefse sale, holiday bake sale and craft sale. Funds will be used by the Women's Group to sponsor church and youth projects, donate to local, regional and global charities, and purchase supplies for quilts and kits put together for Lutheran World Relief.

GF church to honor former pastor
Augustana Lutheran Church, 520 University Ave., Grand Forks, will hold a reception in honor of the Rev. Kathryn Brown, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 23.
Brown served at the church for more than 12 years until her recent resignation for health reasons.

Buxton church to host the Overtones

Ny Stavanger Free Lutheran Church, 720 Neill St., Buxton, N.D., will host the Overtones men's quartet at 4 p.m. Nov. 24.
The Overtones will sing southern Gospel music and some Christmas songs. They have been together 30 years, recently releasing their eighth CD.

The community is invited to bring canned goods to place at the altar, which will be given to those in need. A pie social will be held after the service.

Larimore takes visitors back in time
The Larimore (N.D.) Museum will host "Back to Bethlehem" from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 14 at the old gym of Larimore High School, 300 Booth Ave.
Visitors can wander through Bethlehem and meet census takers, shepherds, shopkeepers, Roman soldiers, the holy family and more. The event will include activities and concessions. A free will offering will be taken at the door.
