The Bemidji Area Church Musicians has announced its 27th annual Summer Recital Series.

Area musicians will perform every Wednesday at noon at different Bemidji churches. Free-will offerings gathered at recitals will go toward scholarships for students studying music in college.

The next recital will feature Beverly Everett on the organ performing works by Mulet, Vierne and Bach as well as a composition by her organ professor at Baylor University. It will be hosted by St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church, 1800 Irvine Ave. N.W. and include a luncheon after the recital for a small fee.

GF church to host Ghana missionary

The Rev. Deanne Curtis, a missionary who went to Agona Swedru, Ghana, earlier this year, will share her experience today at the First Church of God, 2856 N. Washington St., Grand Forks.

She’ll speak at a formal tea at 2 p.m. and revival services at 7 p.m.

Her presentation is part of a mini-revival event held at the church Friday through Sunday. A 10:15 a.m. service on Sunday will be followed by a potluck meal.

The church requests reservations be made for the formal tea to ensure enough food is prepared.

Street ministry a focus for GF talk

Aglow International Grand Forks will meet at 10 a.m. today at the Ember, 8 N. Third St.

This month’s speaker will be Bill, who lived a life of crime and drugs before a dramatic transformation that led to his involvement in street ministry.

Bible camp plans summer concerts

Park River Bible Camp announced this year’s schedule of summer concerts. These performers will appear on the following dates:

  •  Sunday: Amy Redding
  •  July 20: Hannah Junction
  •  July 27: High Plains Trio
  •  Aug. 3: The Overtones
  •  Aug. 10: Century Club and John Bedore

Concerts start at 7 p.m. Sunday will also include camp worship at 10 a.m. and lunch at 11:30 a.m.
