The University of Minnesota-Crookston has a record number of students on campus this fall.
The university said Tuesday that according to preliminary data, there are 1,462 undergraduates on campus this fall, besting the previous record of 1,310 for fall semester set last year, an 11.6 percent increase.
In all, there are 2,528 students on campus when counting those students not seeking a degree, an increase from 2,279 last year.
Enrollment will not be finalized until the University of Minnesota Board of Regents meets next month.
Another increase is in online-only students, school officials said. There are 110 online-only students and online credit hours also has increased by 25 percent.

Student housing on campus is also at record levels, officials said. A total of 600 students currently live in campus residence halls and apartments, and eight students have been assigned overflow housing at the Northland Inn, located less than half a mile south of the campus in Crookston.
The Crookston campus has 29 undergraduate degree programs, seven of which are entirely online. The school said it has students from 40 states and 25 countries
