A 46-year-old Emerado, N.D., pleaded guilty Monday to four counts related to child pornography.
Christopher Halligan faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 for each of the counts, which included receipt of materials containing child pornography and possession of child pornography. Each of the counts carries a minimum five-year sentence.
Each conviction carries a requirement of lifetime supervised release after prison.
Halligan entered the guilty pleas during a hearing in U.S. District Court in Fargo. A plea agreement filed Monday states prosecutors will recommend a sentence at the low end of federal guidelines because Halligan accepted responsibility for the crimes and entering the pleas in a timely manner.
Court documents state Halligan was arrested after law enforcement officers searched his mobile home and found more than 1,000 images and videos of child pornography.

He is scheduled for sentencing July 24 in Fargo.
