The junior defenseman is a key cog in Warroad's strong defense. She had an 11-game stretch last season where she was not on the ice for an opponent goal. She also scored seven times herself.

The junior was one of the best defensemen in the section last season. Wheelhouse scored 16 goals and added 26 assists for 42 points and was the team's defensive MVP.
