A 46-year-old man was arrested today after fleeing from police at a traffic stop.

Police stopped a vehicle at about 12:30 p.m., for a traffic light violation at Second Street and First Avenue Northeast. As police approached the car, the man drove away, according to Sgt. Steve Demers.

Police chased the vehicle for several minutes, until it was stopped near a farmyard along Minnesota Highway 220, Demers said.

The man, whose name was not disclosed, faces charges of fleeing and driving while intoxicated.
