Bachmeier
Edward C. Bachmeier, age 84, of Sun City, AZ, passed away on September 23, 2008 at his home with family by his side.
Edward was born June 11, 1924 in Grand Forks, the oldest child of Anton and Hilda (Upsahl) Bachmeier. He was raised on the family farm near Esmond, ND. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Honolulu, HI. He returned to Grand Forks following his military service where he met and married his wife of 55 years, Lorraine Spicer. Edward worked at Dakota Sales in Grand Forks as a route driver for 24 years. In 1978, they moved to Tempe, AZ and then retired in Sun City, AZ in 1992.
Edward is survived by his wife, Lorraine of Sun City; daughter, Shelly (Gary) Thomas of Greeley, CO; son, Dean (Carol) Bachmeier of Edina, MN; three grandchildren, Jessica Endres of Loveland, CO; Zachary Thomas of Las Vegas, NV; and Lauren Bachmeier of Edina, MN; sisters: Jean Buck of Topeka, KS; and Katherine Denton of Glendale, AZ; brothers: Henry of Sun City, AZ; Pete and Jim of Glendale, AZ; Richard of Mesa, AZ; Donald of Prescott, AZ; and Victor of Savage, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Lloyd Opsahl, and a sister, Lorraine Draper.

Funeral Services will be held at a future date in Sun City.
Inurnment: Sunland Memorial Park, Sun City, AZ.
