An Edmore, N.D., man was injured in a two-truck accident in Grand Forks County on Thursday afternoon, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

According to the patrol, about 2 p.m., Gordon Balstad, 78, was northbound on N.D. Highway 18 in a 1997 White Star farm truck and stopped at the intersection with U.S. Highway 2.

As Bolstad started to make a left turn onto Highway 2, his truck hit the trailer of a 2000 Midland semi-trailer driven by Cole Devoogdt, 21, of Tokio, N.D., which was headed east. Devoogdt was not injured in the accident, the patrol said. Bolstad was taken by Larimore, N.D., Ambulance to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. He was listed in satisfactory condition late Thursday evening, a nursing supervisor said.

The Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department also responded to the accident, which remains under investigation.
