The East Grand Forks School Board approved a new two-year teacher contract Friday that includes a smaller total cost percentage increase than the past contract.
The contract was approved by the board at a special meeting Friday morning and by teachers in the district Monday. The total cost increase for the district under the new contract will be 6.2 percent compared with the total cost increase of the past contract, 7 percent.
The contract also brings changes that pertain to Early Childhood Family educators and salary increase percentages, among others.
