The early winter Food Shelf Donation Program instituted by the East Grand Forks Police Department resulted in a total of 1,208 pounds of food that was donated to the East Grand Forks Food Shelf. People "paid" their calendar parking and snow emergency parking tickets with donations of nonperishable food items.
