Campaign finance disclosure reports for East Grand Forks City Council candidates submitted by Oct. 24 show only one candidate has received contributions.

According to his campaign financial report, Marc DeMers received $500 in donations from two supporters, both of whom are retired.

One of the contributors, Dave Homstad, was an advocate of 2012 mayoral candidate Wayne Gregoire when he ran against Lynn Stauss, East Grand Forks’ current mayor.

DeMers has $2,575.34 recorded in expenditures for signs and campaign literature, most of which he funded himself.

Though the other four candidates reported in campaign contributions, three have recorded expenditures for the campaign.
