A 9 a.m. crash Saturday on Interstate 29 just south of Reynolds, N.D., ended in an arrest for reckless endangerment and DUI.

Brian Dahlstrom, 33, from Naples, Fla., was northbound on I-29 from Fargo when calls came into the North Dakota Highway Patrol complaining that he was traveling at speeds faster than 100 mph. At 9 a.m., troopers were dispatched from Grand Forks to try to stop what highway officials deemed a "reckless driver."

Troopers were almost immediately made aware that Dahlstrom had struck the rear end of a semitrailer, also northbound on I-29.

Christopher Cartwright, 32, of Blaine, Minn., was the driver of the semi Dahlstrom hit. Cartwright pulled over to the side of the road to help with first aid; Dahlstrom was trapped in his totaled vehicle.

Cartwright was uninjured in the crash.
