The Polk County Sheriff's Office has identified the driver killed Saturday night in a single-vehicle rollover on Polk Coutny Road 1 near Fosston, Minn., as Paul Allen Hemmingsen, 37, or rural Fosston.
The sheriff's office responded at 11:21 p.m., along with the Minnesota State Patrol, First Care Ambulance and Fosston Fire and Rescue.
The sheriff's office said the car left the roadway, rolled and landed upside-down in a small pond. Hemmingsen was transported to First Care Hospital in Fosston and pronounced dead.
The accident remains under investigation by the sheriff's office.
