One driver was injured in a three-vehicle crash in south Grand Forks Monday afternoon.
According to a police news release, Ruby Ann Roy of Minto, N.D., was traveling east on 32nd Avenue South near the intersection of South 38th Street in a 2011 Chevrolet Aveo about 5:40 p.m. She attempted to turn left and struck a westbound 2003 Nissan Altima driven by Daniel Chaney of Grand Forks. The impact pushed the Nissan into a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Kevin Kollman of Niagara, N.D., in the right turn lane of 38th Street on the north side of the intersection.
Roy was taken to Altru Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said. No other injuries were reported. The intersection was closed for about 45 minutes as police, fire and ambulance personnel responded.
