A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after colliding with a car at about 7 p.m. Friday night in north Grand Forks.
Grand Forks Police said the car pulled out in front of the motorcyclist after stopping at the stop sign at 55th Street North and Gateway Drive. The motorcycle, traveling eastbound on Gateway, struck the rear fender of the car.
The driver of the car was not injured. The motorcyclist was transported to Altru Hospital by ambulance. Authorities did not release the names of those involved, but did say they are both Grand Forks residents. A condition report on the motorcyclist was not available late Friday night.
The driver of the car was cited for failure to yield.
