Dr. Rodney Lee, the embattled Fargo doctor and former owner of the area's RapidCare clinics, could lose his license to practice medicine in North Dakota after a decision to not contest several charges including the suspension of his medical license.
Duane Houdek, executive secretary of the North Dakota Board of Medical Examiners, said today that Lee and his lawyer have submitted a letter to the administrative law judge stating they will not contest the licensing issue during a hearing in front of the state's medical licensing board next week in Bismarck.
Lee's license was suspended in July for issues relating to the poor tracking of narcotics and overbilling the state's Medicaid program.
Houdek said Lee will not contest four of the five allegations against him. Houdek said Lee will contest an allegation of improper storage and handling of prescription medications.
Lee recently sold his RapidCare clinics. He still retains his medical license in the state of Minnesota.
