Donations needed for Minot area flood relief

With colder weather fast approaching, voluntary agencies working with flood victims in the Minot area are in need of donations to help with recovery efforts, according to the Souris Valley United Way.

With colder weather fast approaching, voluntary agencies working with flood victims in the Minot area are in need of donations to help with recovery efforts, according to the Souris Valley United Way.

Cash is always preferred because it allows organizations to purchase the exact items they need, but many organizations also are in need of product donations.

Current needs include: Drywall and supplies, insulation, nails and screws, lumber, plywood, interior and exterior doors, windows, trim, major appliances and paint.

Businesses or individuals interested in donating cash or products, or registering as a volunteer, should log on to www.nd.gov/des/donations , call (701) 725-4995 or fax (701) 725-4604.
