Don Fisk received the Henry Havig Award from the Grand Forks area Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, the 35th recipient of the annual award.
The owner of Insight Technologies, Fisk has served on numerous boards of directors in the community, including Sertoma club, Xcel Energy, YMCA Foundation, Altru Health System and Valley Memorial Homes.
He's also served as honorary commander of Grand Forks Air Force Base, president of United Lutheran Church and, in 1999, president of the Chamber.
Fisk is a 1972 UND graduate. He is married to Sue, and they have two grown daughters.
The Havig Award was given at the Chamber's annual meeting in the Alerus Center. It's named after Henry Havig, a civic leader and City Council member active from 1955 to 1975, when he died. The Chamber created the award in his honor in 1977. Past recipients select the winner from nominations from the community.
