Do you recognize this man? East Grand Forks police seek help in theft investigation

East Grand Forks police are asking for assistance in identifying a man who stole money from the till at Orton's Tesoro at 504 Rhinehart Drive Nov. 26.

The department has released still photos of the man on surveillance video taken at around 8:30 p.m.

The theft occurred when the clerk was cleaning the bathrooms prior to closing the store. The suspect, described as a white male with a blue jacket, over six-feet tall and very thin, went behind the desk before opening the till and making off with its contents.

The man left the scene on a bike.

The clerk didn't realize the money was gone until another customer came in to pay for items.

The amount of money taken was not being released by the East Grand Forks police.
