ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Revenue Department is pushing taxpayers to opt for direct deposit of their tax refunds.

"Choosing direct deposit can shorten the time it takes to receive your refund," assistant revenue commissioner Terri Steenblock said. "And, it's safe, easy and convenient; we deposit your tax refund directly into your checking or savings account."
