Dinner theater set for Nov. 21 in Pekin

Students from Dakota Prairie (N.D.) High School and Larimore (N.D.) High School will present one-act plays during the Nelson County Arts Council One-Act Dinner Theater on Nov. 21 in Pekin.

Students from Dakota Prairie (N.D.) High School and Larimore (N.D.) High School will present one-act plays during the Nelson County Arts Council One-Act Dinner Theater on Nov. 21 in Pekin.

Dinner (Sherry chicken, sweet potato wedges, green beats, garden salad, garlic toast, rolls, beverage) will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Pekin Community Center followed by the plays. Sherbet cake roll dessert will be served between the plays.

Dakota Prairie will present "The Rocking Horse" by D. H. Lawrence. The cast features Garrett Becker, Mason Beier, Derek Borger, Lydia Kinneberg, Nathan Kinneberg, Kelly Larson, Karsi Luehring, Brandi Messner, Rachel Nerison, Sage Nichols, Scott Quanbeck, Jonathan Sigdhal and Tulana Stallman.

Larimore will present "The Overcoat," written by Nikolai Gogol and adapted for the stage by Tim Kelly. The cast features Jessica Georgeson, Shay Knutson, Ted Moser, Derrick Parsons, Michael Pietron, Sandy Pifer, Zach Pulford, Kyler Renfrow, Ian Wiegandt and Megan Yahna.
