DICKINSON, N.D. -- A Fargo man was Tased after stripping and fighting law enforcement officers Thursday morning at the West River Community Center in Dickinson, police said.

Jamie Brager, 38, drove his vehicle onto the sidewalk leading to the facility’s entrance and entered, Dickinson police Sgt. Kylan Klauzer said. Once inside, he allegedly began accosting the staff and was taking his clothes off when officers were en route.

Once officers arrived, Brager disobeyed verbal commands, and he became combative when officers tried to gain control of him, Klauzer said. He was eventually Tased in the attempt to restrain him. Extra restraints were placed on him for officer safety.

Brager was charged with seven offenses: disorderly conduct, resisting an officer, attempting to disarm a law enforcement officer, reckless endangerment, theft of property, assault on a police officer and possession of marijuana paraphernalia, Klauzer said.

Klauzer said he didn’t know whether Brager was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the arrest. Klauzer said officers were more concerned about getting him restrained and in a safe location than getting him to comply with a blood draw to test for drugs or alcohol.
