DICKINSON, N.D. -- Josh Dowhaniuk, 30, Dickinson, died after being pulled from Patterson Lake on Saturday evening, according to the Stark County Sheriff's Department.
Dowhaniuk was at the south side of Patterson Lake with his fiance, said Sheriff Clarence Tuhy.
"Dowhaniuk was unconscious and not breathing when the Dickinson Rural Fire Department responded, according to a previous Press article.
Tuhy said it's unclear why Dowhaniuk went under or how long he was underwater.
"He was pronounced dead at the hospital," Tuhy said.
