A dense fog advisory has been issued for eastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota.
The National Weather Service office in Grand Forks issued the advisory at 5:33 a.m. today, predicting that visibility will be reduced to a quarter mile or less.
Motorists are advised to slow down, use headlights and lave plenty of stopping distance in front of their vehicles.
The advisory is in effect until 10 a.m.
In Minnesota, counties affected by the advisory are Polk, Pennington, Marshall, Red Lake, Roseau, Mahnomen, Kittson, Norman, Clay and Becker.

In North Dakota, Grand Forks, Walsh, Steele, Griggs, Nelson, Traill, Ramsey, Cavalier, Pembina, Eddy, Cass and Barnes are among some of the counties covered by the advisory.
Cities included in the advisory include Grand Forks, East Grand Forks, Crookston, Thief River Falls, Red Lake Falls, Roseau, Hallock, Warren, Fosston, Bagley, Mahnomen, Devils Lake, Grafton, Mayville, Langdon and Cavalier.
