Workers will begin removing the floodwall covering DeMers Avenue in downtown Grand Forks today, but the Sorlie Bridge will continue to be closed to motorists and pedestrians until further notice.

The City of Grand Forks will remove the invisible floodwall today to allow the Department of Transportation to inspect the bridge and check for any damage caused by floodwaters.

The Bridge will remain closed to traffic and pedestrians until the inspection is complete. The inspection is expected to continue for most of this week.
