Northwest winds will continue to cause wind chill readings below -25 degrees this morning according the the National Weather Service. Conditions are expected to improve later this morning as high pressure moves into the region.and the winds will diminish.

1-inch of snow

A low pressure system will move out of the rockies into the plains Saturday bringing the potential of significant snowfall to parts of the northern Plains. A winter storm watch remains in effect from Saturday morning through late Saturday night. This storm has the potential of 6 or more inches of snow from Saturday to late Sunday in the southern part of our region. An inch of snow is expected in the Grand Forks area.
