Crews put out East Grand Forks garage fire

Firefighters responded to a garage fire on the Point in East Grand Forks Monday evening. A fire in a detached garage was reported at 801 Rhinehart Drive about 6:12 p.m. and was quickly extinguished, according to the East Grand Forks Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to a garage fire on the Point in East Grand Forks Monday evening.

A fire in a detached garage was reported at 801 Rhinehart Drive about 6:12 p.m. and was quickly extinguished, according to the East Grand Forks Fire Department.

Flames were visible from the property and smoke filled the surrounding neighborhood. Emergency crews also closed traffic along nearby streets.
