A Grand Forks man who formerly worked as a social worker in several area counties pleaded not guilty Friday to 11 counts of possessing obscene materials involving minors.
Paul Hill, 42, appeared in Grand Forks District Court with his attorney, Steve Light.
Hill was arrested in September, the result of an incident in April when he brought his computer in for repair at a local business, and computer technicians discovered questionable images on it, according to court records.
He faces 11 counts of possession of obscene material involving minors. The first count is a Class A misdemeanor; the other 10 counts are Class C felonies. The maximum penalty for a Class C felony is five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
Hill remains free on bond.
