BISMARCK — Following are the North Dakota Department of Health COVID-19 case rates, deaths, hospitalizations and vaccinations as of Tuesday, March 2. Because all data is preliminary, some numbers and totals may change from one day to the next.

Statewide case rates

  • NEW CASES: 106
  • TOTAL ACTIVE CASES: 576
  • TOTAL CASES: 99,957
  • TOTAL RECOVERED: 97,934

  • DAILY TEST POSITIVITY RATE: 2.3%

North Dakota's active case count increased by five on Tuesday. Cass County reported 18 positive cases, while Burleigh County reported 16 additional cases.

The Department of Health reported the death of a Grand Forks County woman in her 90s and a Ward County man in his 90s.

Vaccinations

  • FIRST DOSE ADMINISTERED: 134,771 (18.4% of population)

  • COMPLETED SERIES (Two doses): 75,617 (10.3% of population)

A total of 227,152 shots have been administered to North Dakotans. The Department of Health urges residents to seek more information at www.health.nd.gov/covidvaccinelocator.
