BISMARCK — Following are the North Dakota Department of Health COVID-19 case rates, deaths, hospitalizations and vaccinations as of Wednesday, Feb. 24. Because all data is preliminary, some numbers and totals may change from one day to the next.
Statewide case rates
- NEW CASES: 118
- TOTAL ACTIVE CASES: 702
- TOTAL CASES: 99,531
- TOTAL RECOVERED: 97,389
- DAILY TEST POSITIVITY RATE: 2.2%
North Dakota's active case count increased by 11 on Wednesday. Twenty-eight of the new cases came from Cass County, while 23 came from Burleigh County.
ACTIVE HOSPITALIZATIONS: 28
DEATHS, NEWLY REPORTED: 1
TOTAL DEATHS: 1,440
The North Dakota Department of Health on Wednesday reported the death of a Ward County man in his 20s. Hospitalizations dropped by three over the last day.
FIRST DOSE ADMINISTERED: 115,587 (15.8% of population)
COMPLETED SERIES (TWO DOSES): 62,794 (8.6% of population)
The state continues to be a national leader in vaccine distribution, with nearly 90% of the received doses already having been administered. The health department urges residents to seek more information at www.health.nd.gov/covidvaccinelocator.
