A magistrate ruled Wednesday that there's enough probable cause to continue with a case against a Level 3 sex offender accused of failing to properly register with Grand Forks authorities.
Randy Stenerson, 51, has been convicted of indecent exposure four times since 1977. Most recently, he was convicted in Walsh County in 2005 for exposing himself in a public laundry room on numerous occasions, twice in the presence of children, according to the North Dakota attorney general's Web site.
Stenerson has been designated a Level 3 offender because he's considered a high risk for reoffense.
Grand Forks County State's Attorney Peter Welte argued Wednesday that Stenerson did not register his address and place of employment with police after recently being released from county jail, which was considered his home address during his stint there.
Before entering jail, Stenerson had reported his address as under the Sorlie Bridge in downtown Grand Forks. Officer Brian Robbins, who tracks sex offenders in the city, testified that police were unable to verify whether Stenerson actually lived beneath the bridge.

Stenerson currently is being held in county jail on $7,500 bail, according to a jail spokesman. His next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 20.
