Concrete failure is forcing drivers in central Grand Forks to take a detour this morning near Ben Franklin Elementary School.
Crews responded to 13th Avenue South and South 19th Street, where they discovered the failure. It's unclear what caused the concrete to fail or how much damage was caused, but workers have closed the intersection. Detour signs are up to direct traffic.
More information on the problem is expected to be released later today, according to an email from the city of Grand Forks.
