College Goal Sunday

College Goal Sunday, set for Feb. 13 in the UND Memorial Union and elsewhere, is a free event to help potential students complete financial aid applications.

College Goal Sunday, set for Feb. 13 in the UND Memorial Union and elsewhere, is a free event to help potential students complete financial aid applications.

College Goal Sunday events also will be held Feb. 13 at Grafton (N.D.) High School and Cankdeska Cikana Community College in Fort Totten, N.D.

Financial aid experts from North Dakota colleges and universities will be on-hand to answer questions and help fill out and submit the FAFSA, which is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

Families should bring the following items to College Goal Sunday: 2010 Federal Tax Return and W2s; a recent bank statement; driver's license; and Social Security Numbers. If students and families do not have all those items, they are still encouraged to attend.

College Goal Sunday is sponsored Bremer Bank of Grand Forks, YMCA, Wells Fargo Bank, North Dakota College Access Network and Student Loans of North Dakota and Perkins. Students who attend receive a free flashdrive and are entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $500 scholarship or a computer.
