NEWARK, N.J. -- With her first career double-double, true freshman Lexi Robinson led UND to a 23-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-22 victory over New Jersey Tech on Saturday in Great West Conference play.
A native of Ramsey, Minn., Robinson finished with a career-high 23 kills and three service aces. She also recorded 12 digs to help the Sioux (20-4, 6-1 GWC) beat the Highlanders (7-15, 2-5 GWC) and extend the team's winning streak to eight.
"We really grinded our way to this win," UND coach Ashley Hardee said. "While we didn't play our best consistently, we did have a big spark from Lexi to help us pull this one out."

Along with Robinson, Nikki Husfeldt had a career day as she finished with 53 assists. She also added nine digs, three block assists and a pair of aces.
Tia Russell came away with 10 kills, while Ronni Munkeby finished with nine and freshman middle blocker Lisa Parlich had eight.

- Women's swimming: UND defeated Northern Iowa 185-114 and fell to Kansas 176-117 on Saturday in Cedar Falls, Iowa. UND senior Megan Keidel won the 1-meter diving with a score of 248. Veronica Medon added a trio of second-place finishes (200 IM, breaststroke and backstroke).
